My first gig was an extremely funny affair at my mate's sister's party back in 1984, s*** was it really that long ago!! It was my chance to impress her with my mixing prowess - which it didn't - using a beg, borrowed, stolen record collection which was filled with a pinch of Soul, a whole heap of Disco and a smattering of Jazz Funk.
Many of those tracks still make me smile today when I play them, Cheesy - Classics - call them what you want they helped to kick off my Djing career and my love of entertaining people. A love that has seen me play countless gigs from clubs in our capital to select private parties to packed festival car parks across the UK and Europe from the back of my VW Camper - the infamous 'Boogie Bus Specials'!!!
